Alison is willing to work with horses of all breeds and abilities, and follows a correct, thorough system that emphasizes basics, balance, and conditioning, even for the more schooled horses. Training programs are geared toward the individual horse. She has trained multiple horses to the Grand Prix level, and several of her students have earned their USDF medals, USDF and VADA Year-End Awards, and Regional Championships.
Alison offers haul-in lessons for outside riders, and does not limit herself to clients focusing solely on dressage. She has several eventing students who have worked with her to dramatically improve their dressage scores.
The main training barn has a total of 20 stalls with mats, full doors to the center aisle and windows. Two additional shed row barns add a total of 6 more stalls, also with mats and windows. A re-purposed dairy barn holds tack trunk storage, two hot and cold wash racks (one with heat lamps), and a climate-controlled tack room with a full bath. LGF has a large (75x200) indoor arena with a sound system, and a full-size, fenced, outdoor arena. There is also a large field with rolling hills for hacking and conditioning.
Our goal is to provide the highest standard of care and quality of dressage training possible at a reasonable price. Feed is customized for each horse and includes any supplements you provide. All horses are fed grain three times daily, with ample hay provided throughout the day in stalls and paddocks. Turnout is individualized for each horse, but is always in private paddocks. Blankets are changed as needed and horses are booted as each requires for turnout. Scheduling of vet and farrier care is included. Boarding is only available for horses in the LGF training program.
